| If you saw my earlier posts regarding my desire to get a vintage Custom Legend, you saw that I was bidding on a 1619-1 on eBay (Jeff and jeffeman, thanks so much for your courtesy). I didn't wind up getting it as I got out-sniped at the last second, but oh well, another one'll come along.
But the reason for this post is to express my sincerest and deepst thanks to an OFC member who went out of his way to help me out with this attempt. I contacted this member (who'll remain nameless to avoid embarrassing him - he can identify himself if he wants to), who lives in the area where the brick&mortar music store that was offering this guitar was located, and asked him if he could possibly check out the guitar and give me his evaluation.
Now, this person has never met me, we'd never corresponded personally before, but he agreed to go check it out. So he gives up his personal time on a Saturday, drives 50 or so miles round trip to examine the guitar, and promptly gives me his expert assessment and opinion. I owe him big time.
This is a great community filled with wonderful and generous people, and I thank all of you. |

| What a wonderful example of human kindness at its finest! (Providing it wasn't him that outbid you at the last minute!) Just kidding! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | And any of the OFC members in that area would have given you an expert opinion. If I checked out a guitar for you that may not be the case. Actually, after 30 years with Ovations and a couple years on this board, I'm starting to learn something about Ovation guitars. |
