I wasn't a huge fan of his comedy, but I thought he was a pretty fair actor.

Same age as me, and from the same general area in Southern California. We had several mutual friends and classmates while he attended Claremont Men's College (now Claremont McKenna College). Lot of funny stories. Very sad.
