Was in the market for a deep bowl and spotted a 6718 on Ebay. I put in a bid I was sure wouldn't hold up so imagine my surprize when I found out I was the winning bidder.

I wasn't expecting much when it arrived figuring I would be disappointed in the condition. Fortunatly there is not much really wrong with the guitar. The frets only have minimal wear and there is a scratch in the finish on the back of the neck. I should be able to smooth that out. It's got some bumps and bruises but overall is in good shape.

There is a crack in the top that can be seen in the pictures but it only runs from the bout to the first sound hole so I am not concerned about that.

The lifting bridge should be repairable as it appears to be a bolt on. When it arrived I loosened the strings to take the tension off the bridge and it laid back down to the top. I haven't had time to take the access hatch off and fully inspect the undertop bracing for the bridge, hopefully all is OK and I can retighten the bolts.

When I reset the bridge should I also glue it to the top? Seems like the prudent thing to do but would like opinions from anyone who cares to chime in.

Not sure what color it is supposed to be but the pictures don't do the top justice. It is absolutely gorgeous and overall I am pleased with the guitar considering the price I got it for.

I am really going to enjoy this one

Yes.
I would tune-up the strings to make the bridge lift...
Squeeze some glue under there... Then loosen the strings so it lays back down.
Then I would tighten the bolts.
You could use "Titebond" or something similar.
Which glue to use might be worth another thread in the Bottom Feeders forum.

BTW-- That is the same Seller that I got my 1735 from.
