Just wondering if anybody can confirm or deny this. The tuners on my breadwinner look like Schallers with the Ovation logo on them. Schaller has a M6 nylon light series that look very similar to the ones I have. I had to look at Schallers online catalog to find them. They have a dimensioned drawing also but I have not taken my vernier calipers out to check them yet. Does anyone know if these are the same tuners? If so, how hard would it be to pop off the back caps and install the Ovation logo ones? I don't need any but it would be nice to know for future reference.

Yes, I believe that those are the same tuners.

They ARE the same! In Germany they are almost available, if anybody needs them, but only as a set. I've also tried to swap the caps on a set M6 mini from my Pacemaker, but with no success. Most of the original Ovation logo caps got damaged by pulling them out of the old ones. So I don't started to do that on the new ones ,too.

The nylon type are hard to find in the U.S. I'd like to get some for a couple of guitars that are neck-heavy.

I've read somewhere that you will wreck the Schaller/Ovation caps if you try to pry them off from the outside. Someone suggested that if you remove the tuning button, washers, and worm gear assembly, you can poke something through the hole on the side and push the cap out. You might want to try that on an old worn-out tuner to see if it's possible.

Here's a 12-string set on eBay US that might maybe possibly be the same size and mounting as the original Breadwinner/Viper tuners: http://www.ebay.com/itm/331411634633?
