The latest limited edition out of NEW HARTFORD.

I couldn't resist, just ordered one of these babies. OK, so it's not EXACTLY an Ovation Thunderhead. But how in the heck could you say NO to something like this? It's amazing to see the goodies that the factory is putting out these days. Different logo on the headstock than maybe you'd prefer, but absolutely stunning instruments build by the same talented hands that we are so familiar with.

It'll be here next week and I'll post some pics, but this is all I have for now. There's plenty of chat over on the Guild forum about this limited edition, if you're interested.

Looks like all 25 have shipped. Comes with some nice case candy as well.

Wow, that is a BEAUTIFUL guitar! It's great that the talented folks at the factory are putting out amazing USA made guitars, even if they're not Ovations. Thanks for sharing that Dave!

The fact that the folks are still working and still producing beautiful guitars of some brand is definitely the next best thing.

Is that a floating bridge or stationary. I had a lot of problems with the floating bridge on my jazz guitar I had, it would move slightly and the intonation would go to crap. Just wondering, Beautiful guitar.

Interesting how nearly identical the flame fingerprint is between the middle guitar and the right guitar. Like they sliced the maple piece, lined it up, and tried to put the form in the exact same place to make both backs

Surely they wanted to do that. They are so identical, it couldn't have been by happenstance. If you drag the picture and blow it up, even by the cutaway, the grain is the same to the binding. I wonder if the serials are consecutive. Very cool.

In the wall pictures it looks like something is blocking the f-holes??? Is that just a protection because they are new?

Would make an excellent companion to my 16 year old natural Startfire IV also made in the USA.

Must be an artifact of the photo. Nothing blocking the f-holes.
