Welcome,
I've upgraded you to full member and moved this post into this general posting area where more people have access to answer you. I'm sure someone has a working pre-amp for you. I hope so anyway, and again, Welcome !!

As some models came with different preamps and most preamps were used by several models I propose you mention which model preamp you are looking for (It could be an Optima).

Take a look: http://www.ovationtribute.com/Pr%E9-amplis/Ovation%20Preamps.html

The first thing is to determine exactly where the fault is. It could be the battery power (wiring, connector), the output jack (a common failure), the saddle, the wiring inside the body, or the preamp itself.

My Dusty Guitar might have the exact replacement preamp if that is the problem. It might also be possible to repair the preamp. But first I would carefully diagnose the issue before throwing money at a replacement preamp.

Hi all , thanks for answering. The tuner side is not working correctly. It is the optima 2. When you try to tune the red arrows flash but the green note light stays on the # symbol. If I plug into the jack the preamp side works I can adjust tone and volume notch works.

Diagrams: http://www.ovationtribute.com/Ovation%20Schematics/Ovation_Optima_P... The tuner is on a separate pcb if everything else works it could be a connector issue.
