When Johnny asked if he could post this news of my Dad, I was a bit hesitant, as most of you had already sent you "prayers and condlences" on my original "topic" Re: the hardest thing I have ever done. It means a lot that you all take the extra time to again send them. As many of you told me, I was fortunate to be able to say goodbye and to receive my Dad's "final words of wisdom". It's never easy to lose a loved one, but, as a good many of us are "Middle aged", if we haven't lost a parent or both allready, we all will go through it soon enough. Hospice IS an incredible Organization. My Stepmom and Sister were with my Dad 24/7 for the last 3 1/2 weeks. The stories told to us of the incredible love, kindness and care given, not just to my Dad, but to the 2 of them were AMAZING! It's not about bringing the person terminally ill to the end. Its about allowing that person to LIVE life as best as possible until the end comes. If any one decides to donate, Thank-you. If you can't for what ever reason the "love" and caring shown to me and my family is more then enough. Johnny, thank-you again for this post and what you've given me in your words of support. T.J, beleive me my "chin and body" are dragging on the ground right now, but thanks for seeing and aknowledging the strength I, and we all show for the one we care for. G8r, I know your mom just past recently. Ain't this group incredible!! Thanks to all again!! Your friend, Bob | ||
