Location: Parkersburg, WV | I'm looking for a replacemnent saddle for a 1974 Electric Country Artist 1624. I got an E-mail today from Ovation customer service stating that the saddle was no longer currently available but an updated saddle/pickup combo was. I hate to dispose of a good pickup if it isn't necesary. If someone on the site might have a spare saddle, drop me a line.
Thanks,
Patsbro

Thanks for the offer for a saddle from your Artist. Unfortunately I'm sure it won't work. My Electric Country Artist falls in the category of a "classical" guitar with a flat fretboard thus requiring a flat saddle. The one from your Artist is more likely sloped - high in the middle/low on the edges due to the curved fingerboard on the steel string models. I think I'll wind up "biting the bullet" and just order a complete assembly from Ovation. Again thanks for the offer.
