With this many bids its apparent that I'm not the only one drooling over this one.

Custom Legend USA Flag on Ebay

It will likely go a bit higher than I can fly so does anyone have one of these they want to sell or trade?

Very pretty and I'm sure will sell high too.
It's on my watch (drool) list as well.
Aaron Tippon was here in Mosul back in November (I was working didn't get to go see the concert) and he had a USA flag Ovation (saw it on the press releases) it didn't look like a CL version though, I don't recall spotting any bling on it.
HMM, I wonder if I could find me one with a Marine Corps flag on it......HA HA HA

... I'd buy one of those too!

I also put that one on my watch list. I'm sure if I wait long enough, I'll get one.

That describes nearly every guitar I own. :)

Reserve has been met, but the bidding doesn't seem to be slowing down much.

Well...
I was the high bidder when I looked away and I made my best and last shot.
I expect to live about as long as a Red-Shirt on a Star Trek episode so here's to hope and change!

I'll either need consoling or for someone to buy some of my junk!

That seller has to be doing cartwheels my now. Over 1500 with a day and a half to go.

I remember bidding on one a while ago and stopped at 650.00. I think it went for 7 something. It had the "Custom Legend style" neck too. I think they made both this one and a "standard" style.

That IS a nice one. Good preamp also. Wish I could afford one as an extra, but I can't help but think there will be a better deal down the road.

These 1779 versions were about three grand back when they were new. The 1779-USA was actually a production model there for a while, not sure how may they sold but I doubt it was a lot. So I sorta figured this one would fetch a couple of grand.

There was a limited edition "Flag" guitar -- 75 units, numbered on the neck -- and those were based on the 1777. Same cool top paint, but none of the bling or higher grade wood on this model. So no abalone purfling, or CL style neck or fretboard. Plus this one has the inlaid CL style rosette. And the Optima with the XLR output. I think these are pretty cool. Wish I was in the market right now.

Well, after thinking about it for a while I decided to go for it.

Missed the bid closing by 3 minutes.
Oh well.....guess it wasn't meant to be.

The only thing mising for me would have been a deep bowl. Contour would have been nice also.

Well I did place second... again!

Apparently there were two of us that wanted it and one of us wanted it more.
Just as well, I'm more of an Autumn anyway.
