For my Wanna-be-luthier brothers and sisters: Stewmac is starting a Newsletter with tips and techniques.

www.stewmac.com

The end result is that you will buy more tools and materials but why fight it!

Enjoy

Because I have a nice plunge router with accesories and a molded carrying case from the flooring project two years ago. It's never been out of the original, cardboard packaging.

Thanks for the URL, though, as I'm planning on building at least one telecaster style guitar next year.

First coupla tips have been helpful. Mr. Don makes it look about as easy as Mr. Norm on Yankee Workshop. A million bucks worth of tools will fix anything! "Objects may appear larger in the mirror....."

Jason,
Post pics! Are you going to use a 4-way switch? It costs the same as a 3-way but you get a humbucker effect in #4.

I've never wired TV jones pups, but I've found for single coils, I like 500K pots, rather than the traditional 250k.
Good luck.

PS If the pups are splitable, then in the volume position use a push pull switch for the neck, and consider a mini switch somewhere else to split the bridge, though probably not necessary to split the bridge. For the tone knob, I can't recommend enough the torres midrange tone knobs. They have an inner knob to cut or boost the midrange and an outer knob that functions all the time as a regular tone knob. That thing is great.
