Brief history....I had the neck adjusted within the first 4 months. Over the years I have removed all the shims and have taken material off the saddle itself. Currently there is about the width of a nickel from the low E string to the bridge. I have not had to make any adjustments in the saddle in over 15 years. The action is very playable.
Now.....until I found this board I did not know that the lack of string angle at the saddle can affect the sound quality. Is a trip to a good guitar doctor for a neck adjustment a solution for this?
I love the way it sounds now. In searching for a second guitar I have not found a better sounding instrument in it's class. Will a neck adjustment make it sound (dare I ask)...even better????

From your description, sounds like the guitar will be needing a neck set. If you have a high action, and a low saddle, thats a pretty good indication.

Brad, if you like it the way it is right now, both the action and the sound, I wouldn't touch it. Sounds like "the planets are aligned"! :)

Mike,
The action is fine.
Roger,
Yep, I thought that too. If it's not broken, don't fix it.
Thanks guys.
