Curiosity question: Is there any noticeable difference in sound between the CVT and SMT Adamas soundboards? I own and love an SMT so I was curious if the difference between the two was real or a marketing gimmic.

Location: Scotland | I bought another SMT at a guitar show yesterday because it was so cheap I couldn't resist. It sounds different to my own SMT & very different to my Adamas 1. Last time a tried an SMT & CVT side by side I thought there was a slight difference between the 2, mostly in the character of the midrange. I think part of the reasoning behind the SMT may have been to produce a more traditional-looking guitar that would appeal to those who don't like the appearance of the textured tops. |

I always loved iggy pop and the stooges!!!
I think the CVT is slightly more "alive" with a little more treble response. Your mileage may vary. |

It has more woody properties than the CVT. That sounds funny. But you know what I mean. |
