1. I wish Ovation would go back to a fancier label on the inside of the bowl. A paper sticker detracts from the fine finishes. It can't cost that much more. Suggestion....Use the paper label that still says Ovation on the Celebritys and an upgraded label on the USA models.
2. Since finding this board I am trying to learn acustic guitar sounds. I try to hear the difference between an Celebrity and a USA made Ovation. I play a $2700 Gibson or a $1800 Martin and try to pick out tone, projection or brightness. I probably look like a goof, but I will strike a harmonic at the 12th fret then turn the guitar top up and listen.
3.I haven't decided if it is good thing yet, but I was greeted at Guitar Center last night as "Mr. Ovation". That could be a sign that I am spending to much time there.

1) I agree....your idea about using the current labels on the Celebrities and upgrading the U.S. ones is a good one.
2) The difference between the Celebrities and the U.S. models is real and there for the hearing. I thought my CC01 was really great sounding until I played a few Balladeers. And the Adamas models sound even better. Haven't heard any Gibsons or Martins that sound better than an Adamas, though. As good, but not better. Actually the only other brand that I think of in the same thought as Adamas is Rainsong...their more expensive guitars have a nice sound.
3) Guess our local GC has too much staff turnover, they don't associate me with Ovations, and that's most of what I play there! I need to stop in more(don't tell my wife)....
