Location: Minden, Nebraska | The black pins on either side of the saddle must be gripped and pulled out to release the saddle. Sometimes they stick in there pretty well. You can try removing the back plate and reaching your hand in to push them up from below. And since it is quite possible that one reason the action is high is that the neck needs some adjustment, you can attend to that while you have your hand inside the guitar IF you have the proper hex key. |

Location: Scotland | The Celebs use the thinline pickup, so no pins. It's probably just tight in the slot, try carefully gripping it with some needlenose pliers. Remember that the pickup is integral with the saddle so the only way to lower the action is to remove shims, you can't remove material from the base of the saddle. If there's no shims then the saddle-slot will need to be routed a little deeper. However as the neck set on some imports is pretty shallow this may cause too shallow a break-angle at the bridge, so take care. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I had a similar situation with the thinline pickup. Maybe this is not the recommended course of action, but I lightly sanded the TOP of the saddle to achieve the desired action. Dave |
