Location: Florida | UPS just delivered my new Adamas SMT, and folks... (appears in great shape, no obvious problems).
Folks... it is supoosed to be Ruby Red... but it is NOT like the red one I saw up at Marathon Music.
The one at MM looked almost exactly like the webpage image - sort of a cherry-lollypop color with "graphite grain".
This one my friends - is deep burgundy - very similar to the old (and very rich looking) Gibson "Wine Red". IOW, its nearly black, just a hint of red, and no "graphite grain" showing (except maybe in the very brightest light. Damn, tis nice.
However, its gonna get a set of Shaller Ebony machine buttons (I really dont like the gold ones).
Many many thanks Al, dunno if you told 'em to get some special color or not...but somebody "done real good" (as they say). |

Location: Florida | Well not the tuners - but the buttons (knobs).
Just unscrew the end screw on the button - remove old, install new (maybe a little careful fitting needed with round jewelers file), replace screw. |

glad you like the guitar. You have to take them out into the light to really see the color. I think they look great

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | Charlie, I am not sure your Adamas has Schaller keys on it. My new 30th anniversary Custom Legend does not, and it has the pearloid buttons. Kim Keller told me my CLs keys are made by Ping. You might want to check as I am not sure that Schaller buttons will fit on your keys. |

Location: SoCal | Ping??? Eagle eye Paul catches it again. Did CWK2 have any influence on using Ping? Strange, don't get that familiar sound as I do on my 1969 Ping putter. |

Location: Tennessee | DOH ... I just ordered a set of pearloid buttons to go on my 2000 Collectors. How does one tell if they are Shallers or Pings?
And Charlie, congrats on the SMT. I really like the deep red. This board definitely makes it hard not to sell off everything not bolted to the floor and buy more Ovations. |
