Hi,
My friend recently sold what he called an Ovation Viper, an electric guitar that was made in like 1969 for $750.00. Is this a good deal. I hear that it is a limited edition...

Ovation didn't make a viper in 1969. There are no viper limited electric guitars. However, there are several guitars that have limited editions and therefor the title limited. If it was one of these, then depending on condition, it was propably a bad deal for him. Vipers were made from 1975 through the early 80's. If it was one of these, then no matter the condition, it was a good deal for him. Include some photos and we can tell you more.

It sounds like a Limited or what has been called a Breadwinner Limited in which case, it was a good deal, but were made around '79

The last breadwinner limited to sell on Ebay was mine. I took the second highest bidder's bid at $1450. 1st place bid was $1475. The breadwinner before mine went for $1275. The one before that went for $1000. That is the same one I resold 5 months later for $1450.
