Enjoy!

Location: SoCal | Those are great Woods! Can't wait to get started with our project.
By the way, anybody out there have a Deacon 12 neck (natural finish), that they'd be willing to part with? |

Location: Upper Left USA | The darker body on the 12 was a black Polane covered BW - which was a red Deacon body underneath. I couldn't get all of the tint out of the Mahogany so it was "stained" in a sunburst pattern using secret ingredients (Minwax stain, Red Oak and Ebony)to attempt to match the neck. Deft Lacquer with a burn through that wouldn't stain the same. Not perfect but lovely all the same.
The six has a re-veneered peghead and a Pure Tung Oil neck.
I really like the wood tones over sparkly ones.
I found out tonight that a BW/Deacon six string case doesn't fit a 12 string!!
Played the twelve at Band practice tonight too.
Will post more until you have really had enough!
Isn't it amazing what you can do with Formica?? |
