I love my viper electric guitar but fing the black plastic tuners difficult to work with. Are there any options for me and are there any good tuners that use the same screw holes as the black originals (I cringe at the thought of drilling new holes in the head stock, but will if I must)

Thanks
Drew

If you get new tuners, I'd be interested to buy at least low E tuner. My guitar fell down and it broke. My black tuners work perfectly and guitar is "rusted to tune".

If you are looking for original replacement tuners email me at mileskb@aol.com

Frankly the only other tuners I use are the Grovers on my BC Rich guitars, and they would not look right on a Viper. The Schaller tuners, for a standard guitar like a Viper (my favorite) are the best.

Depending on when the Schallers were made they used different screw moount locations. I am pretty sure that you can find chrome ones that have the same pattern as the black nylon ones, thye are probably not made anymore but they're out there. Try some of the Vintage dealers that do parts.
