Maybe this has been posted before, but I just picked up the Cat Stevens live 1976 concert DVD called "Majikat Earth Tour 1976". It's great. Filmed at William & Mary college is basically him solo acoustic, with minimal backup band. All tight closeups so good that it's almost like an instructional video. He plays his 1614 Folkore the whole show. Plugged in plus also miked. Sounds nice. Backup guy plays a legend and a slot 12-string. 21 songs all the usual Cat hits. I really like this a lot. Dave

Interesting that the european version (I just bought it in europe) has a different cover. On the cover he's playing what I think is a gibson. But it's all Folklore on the live show. I don't think the us version shows a guitar on the cover. Also don't know what guitar he used to record moonshadow, but it sounds pretty woody to me. Dave

Dave, does that mean you have managed to get a region-free DVD player so you can check out all the Brit comedy shows I have for you?

Yes and no. Yes, I re-programmed mine to be region free. Actually couldn't do on my regular player. Had to buy the cheapest piece of crap (Apex) I could find. Seems the cheaper they are, the easier to break the code. Worked great for awhile then died. So now I watch the euro region stuff on my computer. But the Cat dvd is actually region free. Dave

I've posted two pics from the DVD in the gallery (see "ovation on stage" album).

Dave, You shouldn't use phrases like "I now watch the euro stuff on my computer" makes you sound like a perv. So, I'll bring you some comedy & a ton of porno.

Dave, I can remove the region coding from your DVD so you would not have to be perv boy any more....originals only of course!
