I have been playing the '05 Collector for several days now. It is really a nice instrument. Very clear and bell like is the best way I can describe the sound. It is so nicely constructed and the Engelmann top responds well to strumming and fingerpicking.

I am really pleased with the way this guitar sits on the lap. This new bowl is very comfortable and there does not seem to be a tendency for it to slide and angle up. This has keeper written all over it....................

I had the pleasure of listening to one live in a restaurant last night. Good player(John Kaminski) and he made it sound really good, At times it sounded like an Alex Di Grassi record, that level of clarity and cut but still with the bottom supported. I talked to the guy later and he really liked how it felt and played(he was sitting for this gig).
Another Happy Owner.

I think they should make a W2 model.

Think you could come up with one Bill?
Maybe the first resonator model :D

Better yet, Ovation should market a conversion kit. Consists of a form/template and a heat gun. You just heat up your old legends and balladeers and turn them right into contour bowls.
