Location: Boise, Idaho | I missed out on the 1537, but still have a bad case of GAS and ran into a 1989 Classic for a little over $400. It looks and sounds like it's in perfect shape, but I've never had a nylon string and can't figure out from the website what the difference is between the 1713 and 1763. I did look in the archives, but there wasn't a whole lot and nothing in the last couple years. Your opinions are welcome. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Thanks, Moody. I guess I should have figured that out. I was hoping for something more like "it's the best sounding Ovation aside from a 1537" but I guess that's not going to happen. It would have made me feel better though. |

Location: SoCal | with the AAA cedar and the deep bowl, the 1763 is a wonderful guitar...
as some would say, not a Spanish hand made classical but, at least for me, a good combination. a question that has come up before and answered by one of our factory members - if it is US Ovation, solid top, cedar, it is AAA. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Thanks guys. I'll keep watching for them. I'm getting tired of being outbid on ebay, so I may just get the one I saw in a guitar store to avoid the frustration. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | I think you might like the 13 better than the 16, nylon and cedar go together better than spruce and nylon. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Thanks again for the input. I could get it and something else for the price of the 1537, but my wife already thinks I have too many guitars. I keep reminding her that she said I could have as many guitars as I want, but just one wife. Lots cheaper that way, too. Maybe I'll quit my job and go to work in a guitar store. |
