Since that was posted April 2, 2005, I am going to assume two things (since I heard that "suburban legend" years ago), either it was still April 1, 2005 in the poster's time zone when posted, or the poster (like a great many Martin players) was just a little bit late.

P.S. If Martin players weren't just a little bit late, they certainly would have discovered the joys and wonderousness of playing Ovations.

Hmmmm April 1st eh?
I am a sucker for that stuff.
A customer who lives by me came in that day and said...."Brad! Did you hear about the freighter sinking in the North Channel!!!!". I was all ready to take a long lunch to check it out.

I liked the post about halfway down the first page where the guys starts talking about how he would never take his guitar outside, or to a party, or put it's precious little self at any risk...ever.

I guess this is one reason I play Ovations. They are meant to be played. Other than than a few models of significance, Ovations/Adami are just great playing instruments. This Martin was essentially an HD28. They are nice guitars, but if you're going to start comparing them to your children, maybe you need to rethink your value system.

Then again, I drive a Golf cause I refuse to be owned by a car. Now if it was a stainless, PID controlled 10 gallon home-brewing system, that would be different... ;)

Yes. You definitely wouldn't have room for your guitar.
