Location: Warren,Pa. | This is my one and only serious guitar now. I hit pay it now at $550 a couple of months ago. Before it arrived at my door, I happened by a GC in NJ where there were 2 on the wall. One had a high quality top - close grain, nice amt of silk. The other had a much lower quality top - wider grain, not very straight, bad run-out at the seam. I got really scared about what MY guitar was gonna be like...having purchased it sight-unseen. It's a beauty, though. No regrets. |

Location: Warren,Pa. | Mine came with the 8158 case. It was used...2 mos old...no warranty. What's the deal with no case? I'm sure they got the guitar w/a case. |

Location: Fayetteville, NC | It's my understanding that Ovation won't even ship it out without a case.i suppose it's just another way to make a buck. i noticed he was charging $59 for shipping too. Top bid is now at $500. anymore than $550 and theguy really ought to throw in the case.He probably won't though.
Lowest price brand new with Case i've seen is $849 shipped through Guitar Trader.Not sure of the FRG's Pricing, But most i've sen on ebay have included a case.
we'll see. |

Location: closely held secret | I printed that Guitar Trader page and took it to GC, prepared to rant, stomp my feet, whatever it took.
They not only matched the price without whining, the salesman says, "Wow! killer deal!" and proceeds to gather up all the FREE stuff GT was offering - strings, cleaning cloth, 20' cord - even a t-shirt.
I was amazed. |

I can't seem to get anywhere near mine without seeing the label. Photoshop?? |

The poor guy who bought it probably doesn't know it and worseyet the guys charging $59 S&H which seemed steep to me.since the guitar didn't come with a case. They had one selling with acase that they only charged $25 S&H . Makes you wonder. |
