I thought of one potential negative side effect to all this publicity. If I were a desperate criminal, I would hang around outside a concert hall and mug a virtuoso. Cant imagine they would put up much of a fight, and with the potential of them carrying around a $850,000 violin, there is a huge upside for the risk taken. Certainly some of the criminal element in our country must be taking notice.
