I saw a Hurricane listed on thE bay, and it says it has a 24.5" scale. I wanted to find a place to ask if that is correct, did a search, and found you guys. Glad there's an Ovation forum.
So - how 'bout it - is that the correct scale for this guitar? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2384&item=73...

I see that the neck plate is missing and the neck is not mounted the way I see in some other pictures. What other issues do any of your experienced eyes see? Thanks a million - Forrest

Welcome Forrest,

Under links go to www.ovationguitars.com and look in the guitar lists.

Under Member Access do a search in the Galleries for Hurricane as well.

Peace

The guitar listed is NOT a Hurricane, it's a Tornado. Hurricane is a 12-string. Yes, on the Tornado and Hurricane the scale is 24.5 inches. The neck seems to be mounted correctly. You may have seen photos of the longneck version which has a gap between the end of the fretboard the the pickup. Dave
