I been playing with one and like it.
position 1 and 5 at about 65% blend in.
Other than being a pain having to have to plug in to use the tuner.

It is funny with these VIP's. The one in my 2080 seemed to go through batteries like Candy (even after the entire electronics package from plug to module was replaced). However, my 2008C has the identical VIP as far as I can tell, and it is much more battery friendly. I think I have only replaced it once in the several months I have owned it, and my playing regularity is the same or more with it in use.

Interesting that you say 65% blend. Most folks I have seem pipe up, only put about 10-25% of the "mic'd" sound into the pickup,unless of course I am interpretting your 65% backwards or something. Since tonal characteristics are very personal and subjective issues, just shows that having all that adjustment makes it a very flexible pre-amp.
