Joined: September 2003 Posts: 9301 Location: south east Michigan | About a year ago now Kaman Music Corp (Ovation, Adamas, Hamer) was purchased buy Fender Corp. There was some concern and talk of doom & gloom at the time but so far, as far we can see, everything is cool. | ||

New items that had to have been in the pipeline before Fender continue to roll out. The Mothership (factory) has had in increase in responsiblities. What if any effect did that purchase have on Ovation guitars as far as manufacturing, quality, etc. It's very likely that the "pre-Fender" description will end up meaning very little as far as quality issues and model line-up. If the factory ever has another open house it will be very interesting to see the changes that have been made.
