Something I've been wondering about...

I typically play plugged into a PA system via XLR. Seems to me that I can adjust the gain pot with a fair amount of rotation (~120 degrees or so) with little or no effect then suddenly I go from almost nothing to way more than enough (~25 degress) . Does anyone know if Ovation uses audio taper pots? I'd think they would have to but the Optima on my A seems to behave in this peculiar fashion that has a distinctly linear feel to the taper. Seems much less pronouced when I use the Hi-Z output, e.g. more rotation produces less apparent change, so I can more easily adjust for blend with my other competitors, er... that would be fellow players. ;)
