For those prices you can get some awesome O's.
What are you looking to accomplish with the Babicz guitar?

I don't quite see the attraction. In that price range there are a lot of great instruments to choose from, including Ovation, Martin 15- or 16- series, etc. The babicz may sound great but I can't get my self past the looks. Dave

Some inovative ideas there. You have to admit that this guy is thinking out of the box.

I think Babicz used to work for Steinberger, didn't he? Maybe trying to out-innovate the innovator?

The local mom and pop has several Babicz' in stock. I don't like the plastic mechanism that holds the strings to the top. More importantly, I don't like the looks of the strings fanned out over the lower bout.

Playing them, they sound fine. Not spectacular, but not bad, either. I'd rather spend the money on an O or Tak, as T28 has observed. Of course, that doesn't mean someone else shouldn't like them and buy one. Just my $0.02.

I have seen these guitars on several occasions. I am always worried about the top being pulled up.

It's an affectation. Buying one would say more about you than him.

I guess if that is what you want then buy it. I personally will stick with O's. The Spider caught my eye, but it was just due to color and the fanned out string mechanism thingy majiggy way of stringing the guitar.

Conversation piece.........yes, for the money I would have to play it first then decide whether it was better than an O.

To each his own!

They do have an interesting way to adjust the action, though. I agree that the strings attached to the top don't look right.
