He called to ask if I wanted him to ship it today and maybe have it sit in a warehouse or truck for the long week end, or wait and send it out Tuesday morning. It will ship on Tuesday and be back in my hands by Thursday! He said only 4 of the U681T guitars have been sent back, and with all the talk on this forum these are getting checked and rechecked SEVERAL times before they leave "this time". He had my guitar in front of him while we were talking and he said that I was going to love what I see when I open the case next week! It's going to be a loooong week... I'll shoot out an update when she gets home.

Hopfully one of these days he'll get up here and I can take him out for some Alaskan fishing! My guitar had a few very minor cosmetic issues that I probably would not have sent it back for, but it also had a deformed slot on the head. Looked like something happened in the jig alignment when they cut it. Can't wait to get it back. What a "sound machine" that guitar is. A real BOOMER. Jeff-I know what you mean about not wanting to let it out of your hands. I had a hard time letting mine go. They only have had it for a couple weeks though. Pretty quick service. Hey Jeff, how did that fishing trip go?

We saw all sorts of Tarpon the first day...in fact the fist cast we made a Tarpon hit it and very quickly threw the hook. That was the only fish that day that went for our fly...On the following days the Tarpon disappeared and when we did manage to spot one, we couldn't get to it before it went down. Humbling. Next time we will hire a guide. We might of been a little cocky, with all the experience fishing we both have we figured we couldn't miss. We fished for snook at night to at least get something on our flies...and feel better about ourselves

I try to make it a habit to hire a guide (even though I am a guide) when I try something new. The pro's that fish area/species everyday really have one up on everyone else that don't. I haven't done the tarpon "thing" yet, but I hear that even with a guide you can go out a few times before you get lucky enough to get hooked up. Tight Lines & Screaming Reels...

We're talking final cleanup stuff, nothing you wouldn't see on anything handmade. Others who have seen and played mine have said everything from "This one is perfect" to "The neck needs to be reset". I think it plays great and I cannot bear to be without it, so, I will wait. Some people have said they sent theirs in just so the factory could see what "we" were complaining about. I think the factory is going to heroic measures (making up more necks, replacing whole guitars etc) to keep us happy. I want to thank our loyal OFC dealer Al, and our local Kaman reps, for helping us get these problems fixed so quickly. I have heard that this was a seriously stressful issue for everyone invloved. Reputations and relationships were at stake over this. I doubt that any other manufacturer has such a close relationship with their customers. Many of them scrap (or they sell them as seconds) as many of a given model as there were U681T's made.

We just felt that a limited edition, fairly expensive Adamas guitar should have been shipped out close to flawless. They were brilliant with the engineering because I think everyone agrees it plays and sounds incredible, they just let things slip a bit in the QC department. Fortunately, they have shown that they do care and have made every attempt to correct the problem. Take advantage of their sincere effort to make things right and send yours back in for a tune-up.

Of course anything those rouges would lend you would most certainly result in major GAS. They just don't own a bad guitar between them!
