I have been lurking on ebay looking for an inexpensive O that I can get. I found this and was wondering what it is worth. It looks like the auction was just started. Any ideas what it would get up to? Ebay link

They don't go that high on Fleabay, maybe $300-$350 but we have seen a jump in Ovation appreciation lately. You couldn't find anything new with similar attributes for less than $550! These Balladeers were not made as a low end at the time. They were the sound great, last forever and everyman can afford one guitar! Grab that one for under $500 and you have a worthy aquisition. Very "Legend-like" in play and sound.

If the action is OK, I would bid up to $325. If you've never played one of these X braced Balladeers, you may not really like the tone. I personally prefer the A bracing of the later Legends.

I wanted to buy it but shipping via UPS to Alaska was over $200. and the owner didn't want to go USPS. It put the bottom line out of range for me. He is selling it for $295. and that includes shipping to the lower 48 states! Damn I miss some good ones living up here in The Great White North... Someone ought grab it up.

She does all the finances, budgeting and most of the other household things, plus works part time. I just try to bring home enough to cover expenses, which are pretty high these days.
