Sure wish I could be there myself.

Yeah, I was thinking about checking that out, but I've got back-to-back gigs this weekend . . . .

Damn. Looks like fun.

Dang! I seem to be the last person to hear of such news ... it definitely looks like a fun place to go to, but unfortunately I couldn't make it.

Here's a nice post-mortem on Guitarbeque in the Asbury Park press:

I grew up 5 miles south of Asbury Park in Belmar. During late 60's and early 70's was a happening little part of the world. Lots of folkies and hippies playing guitars on the beach. If you played an Ovation you were the cats meow. DJ's, The Hulaballoo, and Jerry Lynches were the cool night spots. Before crime, poverty, hard drugs and general invasion of ass holes intent on ruining the very place they call home, I thought it was paradise. In '77 just before I bailed to go to college and never return I saw Nancy play her slothead live at Convention Hall. Kind of a nice adios.

Just a head's up, Pop:

I'm listening to WFUV-FM here, and they're broadcasting a performance of Kaki on "The MountainStage" . . .
(evidently this was taped JUST prior to the 2nd CD's release . . .)
