Location: Missouri | I am wanting to find the value of my 1987 Celebrity Deluxe acoustic electric guitar(cc257). I looked at the FAQ section of the Reference section. However, none of the links listed had any information listed for that old of a guitar. Does anyone else know where I can find the value of my guitar?

Location: Omaha | There is no "set value" on a used guitar; it really depends on the condition it is in, and what someone is willing to pay for it at the time.
You could check on e-bay to see what similar models are selling for. Another gauge of value would be to take it to a local guitar store (preferably one that sells Ovations), and ask what they would give you for it on a trade in (with a new instrument in the $850-1250 range at least; with less expensive instruments, they'll sometimes not offer you much).
Whatever they say they'll give you for trade, figure you could PROBABLY sell it yourself for about 1 1/2 to two times that amount (150-200%). Again, this is a very rough "guesstimate"!!! |
