:( IS THIS THE SLOWEST DAY IN THE WORLD OR...
is it just me, waiting for UPS to bring me a big box, with a shiny new black 1778LX from musician's friend? :D i've been checking UPS tracking #'s all morning..."arrival scan, departure scan, out for delivery"
finally the out for delivery came up, but still no new guitar smell...
BTW- i love the new smell of wood guitars, like my new D28. what is the new ovation smell like?
i know i'm about to find out, just wondering.
I CAN'T STAND IT. or as popeye would say, "that's all i can stands, i can't stands no more" :p :p

Recently cured resin. But it fades. And you'll be so busy playing it you won't care anyway.

Anticipation is that I've got a new guitar arriving on Monday ... And I don't get home until Thursday!

I try not to think about it.

I must say I love the smell of Martins. The whole factory smells like that. I had a Taylor with Brazilion Rosewood. Oh how I would sit the with my nose to the sound hole and take deep breaths. My wife thinks I am a nutt, and she is right. I know how it is to wait for a package. Every vehicle sounds like the UPS truck that day. Oh the anticipation. It will be worth the wait.

I toured the Martin factory a couple months ago. It does smell great.
New Ovations have a good smell also. Kind of a mixture of a forest and a body shop.
Also....get to Guitar Center right when they open the doors and head right to the acoustic room.
Ooo Ooo that smell !!!!
Can't you smell that smell !!!

Oh this is so sick... lol. This is my first acoustic guitar group. Suddenly a whole new world has opened up for me. People with longer nails on one hand. People who understand GAS can't be cured with a Tums. People who love the smell of guitar wood. After a hard day at work, I would detour by the GC and just sit in their guitar room taking in the smell. surreptitiously bringing sound holes up to my face and deeply breathing in.... Ahhhh
During my divorce, I practically lived in that room...

Are you sure it wasn't before your divorce? My wife just told me she didn't care what I did, so I could go golfing. I think 3 weeks of vacation this summer was a little more of me than she needed.

OK, Hal,

It's Saturday. You should have been playing that thing for at least 12 hours by now, if not longer. It is definately time for an in-depth review.
