I've never seen this color on an Ovation. Is this a custom paint job?

That color sure looks nice on Tamo Ash.

I've seen the Cadillac Green and the blue, but this looks like some kind of a mix. Was this an offered color?

"Jake....did you clean the blue out of the paint gun before you put in green?"
"No Harold...I didn't clean the blue out of the paint gun before I put in the green.
I thought youuuu cleaned the blue out of the paint gun."

That almost looks like my Takamine. It's what they call "Ocean Blue" on the Tak. :)

I had an #1867 Legend in that color for a while that was made circa 2000. Perhaps it was a production color for USA Ovations for a short time.

Well, leave it to me to say this, but one of the other guitars in that auction, the Larrivee, looks like an incredible guitar - would list today for around $2,800-3,000. Hard to say how high the auction will go (NINE DAYS?!!!).

... and I thought the 1861 only came with either natural, cherry burst or black finish ...

anyway, it looks like a very nice guitar (just drooling over the pictures) ... makes me wish that the wife could just give some leniency over adding "just one more?"
