It's a bit confusing regarding the truss rod cover auctions... are you selling all the GC signed ones together? all the plain black ones together? You've got the same pic up for both auctions.... You've described an item yet used the same pic of all the items (within each group) for each auction. People (like me) aren't going to understand..... Also, on the Schaller bridge auctions, do they come with the posts and inserts or just the bridge pictured?

I assume what's in the picture is what you get if you win the auction. Otherwise makes no sense. Dave

PS - HEY MOODY, WE MISSED YOU THIS WEEKEND. LOTS OF GOOD TIMES 'ROUND THE OL' OFC BOARD. PLENTY OF GOOD FINGER POINTING, NAME CALLING, OBSCENE PHOTOS, VULGARITY, THE WORKS. IT WAS GREAT. I EVEN GOT TO BE CALLED A FCS. MADE MY DAY.

Much Forgiveness I Desire, oh OFCers...

No harm or confusion intended, I have revised all listings to reflect certain content for all...

I humbly stand in Photographic Repentence! ;)

So, just want to make sure I'm clear...

You bought this stuff (NOS parts) from Sam, you are reselling for a profit on eBay, and advertising here.

Is that about right? Just makin sure I understand what you're doin.

Think it goes this way:

Sam wants to sell a number of items as a lot.

Kurt stands forward, takes the risk, and buys the lot.

Kurt inventories, then lists individual items for sale - items that Sam did not want to go through the hassle of selling individually.

Profit? Or compensation for risk and time?

I see it as a dispursement of organs to those in need. Nearly took it on myself but encouraged Kurt to do it instead ("You go!" "No, you go!" "After you." "But, I insist." "C'mon, it'll be cool. Look, it sparkles!").

At least one guitar will be reserected and nany more lives will be better.

Both. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's not like Kurt took advantage of someone's misfortune to profit.
Wish I had done it, it looks like he had some fun in the bargain.

It's not like Kurt didn't offer the parts to OFCers before putting them on the Bay, either...

Many thanks for the many kind words, Bro's...

Yeah, I risked my shekels, and spent my time...time will certainly tell if there's any profit to speak of!?!

Couple things for sure...parts (via Sam, Miles, Kim & several others) will magically coalesce into two NOS Custom Preachers (one stereo & one DeLuxe), and a good number of fine folks (around the world - from Germany to Japan!) will lay their hands on some hard to find parts at some very reasonable prices and most of us will strum off into the sunset and live happily ever after...

Not sure about Mr. Metro...fortunately the 1st Amendment guarantees his right to his own opinion. 'nuf said...

Once again - Many Mahalos to Y'allos who've been aboard this "ButtLoad Sale Boat"... ;)

Not to mention the potential risks of aggravating SWMBO (she Who Must be Obeyed) by spending money and bringing into his home yet another Ovation project, or two!
Having met Kurt's wonderful Wife I realize that the total risk was not so bad but I'm sure many of you know exactly what I am talking about!

You may be an Ovationaholic...

... if you have disposed of any boxes from UPS or Fedex prior to your spouse getting home - just to be on the safe side!

We hold regular meetings but there is no cure.

Thanks Kurt!

Plain wrapper, please! So I'm not the only guy who sneaks around and buys gear unbeknownst by the boss. Whew! It is a sickness, but I don't want to be cured.

Sorry. Something about it didn't hit me right the other night - but I had just come home from the office after working about 18 hours straight and I was probably just tired and grumpy. Good luck.

Thanks, Scott!

And, yeah...I think we all get to work that 18 hour shift from time to time, not only does it suck - but we usually have some uptight, tailgater chase us most of the way home!

Hope you have a gentle recovery (& a stress-free commute!) and some inspiring string-time!
