Need to assist Rudy, a "non-poster lurker". Maybe this post will get him to be more involved ;)

I know "search the archives" but will ask anyway.

He has a small practice amp but is looking for 30w or larger, probable two channel for his 1777LX, CA, etc. Not for gigs.

Looking for advice. However, if someone has one and wants to sell...

When this question pops up I keep seeing the Acoustosonic JR., Genz-Benz 30 amp acoustic and something about a Krate acoustic bargain.

So what keeps Rudy from posting at work like the rest of us?

I think Tony prefers words like Associates and Team Members when he signs the paychecks!

Not wanting to scare anybody away though! I want to go to work WITH Tony when I grow up. You get to modify people's behaviour and he allows guitars in the office! It's either that or dumping garbage at the Ovation/Hamer Factory!

The GB sounds great but is pricey. I was always told Trace Elliot was the standard. I have a 30W Epiphone acoustic that I don't think they make anymore that I bought for $100 new. Others on the bargain end with a lot of nice features are the Crates and Behringers. I can get a little used Marshall with a 12 inch Celestion speaker for $80 if anyone wants it.

I just got a Genz-Benz Shen Jr last week and am VERY happy with it. I use it as a monitor in our band but it also makes my Ovation sound really nice out in front as well. I choose the JR because of weight and price. It was only $350 and it only weighs 35#. If I didn't need to lug it around, I'd probably have saved a few more $ and bought the 100W Shen. I'm going to try and get our church to spring for the 100W model. They do make a 60W model but I don't think it sounds the same as the 35 or the 100.

Found a Peavey Stereo Chorus ?212, dual speakers, dual channel at Moze Guitars here...put a hold on it for him, hopefully he'll check it out and get it. Nice condition, $199. IMHO, tough deal to pass up.

Last week I've tried an AER 60 Compact.
Waow, it is a killer acoustic amp !!
Two channels, very light, and a very good "neutral" response.
But it is not in the 100 USD range...
