Location: Madison, Wisconsin | Got a chance to see Nickel Creek last night. WOW! What a show. Don't miss these guys if they show up in your area. They have such a great time on stage and are fantastic musicians. They played for 1-1/2hrs, nearly non-stop, with an amazing amount of energy. They really strech the limits of what some would consider a bluegrass band. |

Location: Cicero, NY | Haven't seen them yet but am looking forward to the day. They came through here a while back and opened for John Mayer but had no idea the show was coming. Was REALLY ticked that one went by. The writeup the next day said it was a great show, albeit a little light in attendance.
Aaauuuggghhh!!! |

Location: Tennessee | But John Mayer has his own signature Martin, and his own signature Stratocaster. How could this be? |

Location: North Texas | Good one! I always liked those shows with Denver Pyle and his hot pickin' hillbilly kinfolk. |

Location: Connecticut | Nickel Creek is a great band who play bluegrass instruments and play them very well but they aren't a bluegrass band. No Banjo. |

Location: North Carolina | I saw those "hot pikin' hillbilly kinfolk" not too long ago. The guitar player and banjo player are brothers ,Rodney and Doug Dillard. Out of Missouri, I think, they were instrumental in paving the way for groups like The Eagles and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I think Doug played with the Byrds at some point. They are still Pickin and grinnin'. The guy who played the bass lost his hearing, and no longer plays. He started a combination Veterinary/Taxidermy business. One way or the other, you're gonna get your dog back! |

| I think it was Doug who played with The Byrds as well.
"The guy who played the bass lost his hearing, and no longer plays."
Half right - he still plays, changed his name to Nikki Sixxxx and got a sponsorship deal from Ovation. |
