The last time I tried was when I bought my wife a necklace for our 25th anniversary that conveniently cost the same as the 25 year old Legend that I had repeatedly told my wife I wanted to buy from our neighbor. She gave me the old, "you already have a guitar." That might have been a much cheaper cure for GAS than what I've bought since. |

Location: Omaha, NE | I really like the idea of some kind of sound "shaper" built into the guitar's pre-amp. I have been looking at both the Fishman Aura and the DTar MamaBear.
The Fishman in particular does (or at least claims to do) exactly what you describe: Digitally modify the sound so that it emulates what a listener would hear in front of the guitar.
Do you know if the new Op Pro Studio is digital, or are they shaping the sound using analog circuits?

You may remember in the 90s when Porsche came out with the second version of the America Roadster. People paid a premium for a stripped 911. I didn't know at the time what the original was. A couple years ago, I saw one of the originals and thought it was just a poorly restored 356. Found out it was worth about a million. Having an original Josh White might be something like that. |
