I am a finger picker and this guitar was supposed to be a good one for that style of playing. What would you guys recommend I look at for my next Adamas purchase, given I do almost nothing but finger picking? Thanks.

I just bought a W597, and my other "O" is a 1537 in nice shape that is my daily player. The U681T that has been mentioned was high on my list, but I wanted a cutaway for no other reason than they look cool (don't know but three cords, and those are questionable). Tell us about yourself...what type of venues do you play at?

I have had Martin, Guild, Takamine, Alvarez guitars, I do now have a Martin CEO 4R which is a nice guitar. I am fast becoming an Adamas disciple after purchasing my SMT 1597. In my old age now I play at special functions and an occasional funeral. I quit doing weddings because I got tired of dealing with immature kids who weren't ready for a real commitment. I am amazed at the Adamas sound through my Marshall acoustic amp. Grew up listening to the acoustic guitar of Jim Croce, an Ovation guy. Does anyone know what model Croce played?

KEZX Radio Station (popular easy listening back in those days) produced an album to benefit the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. One of the songs I recorded "Her Love Was Like the Wind" got on the album. Fun stuff for a kid from farm country. I guess I'm dating myself by referring to an "album." How long have you been at this?

Do you mean hanging out in chatrooms with older men who talk about meeting out of state or playing Ovations? I have permanently implanted memories of KZOK's "Live at the Aquarius" verion of Nancy Wilson playing Dreamboat Annie ala intro and all. Bought my first Ovation about 1980. Just refound my love for music and started playing in a praise band about the last two years. Found this site and I have been trying to play a little bit of everything.

(I know there are a few in their late 60's and I believe we had someone that was around 13).

You should pick up the DVD that cam out about a year ago. Clips of several of his concerts. Sunburst Legend when he wasn't playing a Martin.
