Maybe they are too good for my ability, but I think they sounded dead from the start. I've also used the D'Addarios of various types and thought they all sounded good.

I also play for hours at a time... so I end up changing them quite frequently. When Im in practice mode...they stay on a tad longer....but perfroming mode...once ...twice a week... Ive been trying to get an endorsement deal from them...they're a hard company to get in touch with. http://www.myspace.com/styllheartandsoul

Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | I Have tried most of the strings on the market at one time or another....Have not bothered with the coated ones yet they are just a little to pricey for me to bother with yet. (elixirs)... They say they are good though ..... I have found that only a few odd packs of some real off brand cheapy strings, that I bought because they were like $2.50 or something in the store, were kind a crappy sounding. For the most part any of the brand name bronze wounds are real good and quite similiar. It is how long they last that is the real question?? One I can't answer. I think Cliff has the best experience post going right now.... and his information seems right on target. I was playing in the band thing once...and it did not seem I could keep strings sounding good for more than one show back then? Now I am practicing a lot so I am keeping them on a little longer than I would if I was entertaining. I have a feeling the coated strings would last longer but they would have to to be worth the price.... Amazing really ...just how fantastic a new set of strings sound after you get them to stretch just right so they stay in tune but do not have any of the finger grunge on them yet. They ring out so bright! I have a bunch of medium Adamas strings now.. Love'em.... I am quite sure they are just a brand name in another package but the price was right and I still have 8 sets left after buying 10 for about $2.30 per pack including shipping. Randy

This store used to carry adamas strings but informed me they discontiued them... They told me... "They are really D's" so im not sure if he was implying that D'Addarios make them for Adamas or that the comaprison is too close to decifer. http://www.myspace.com/styllheartandsoul
