Never played one, but I like the looks of this much better than the old gay fig leaves scheme. Dave

How about "packed in" does that qualify as gay?not that theres anything wrong with that..

BTW, dave's been giving us some gems lately..first it was " cold water penile shrinkage" and now we have "old gay fig leaves scheme"

Looks like a 50s bakelite radio - very cool. Have you given that back yet?

It went back (sniff!) at last year's Tour.

For a guitar that has very little wood in/on it, it has an AMAZING "wood" tone . .

My local music store of choice has one of the 12 strings listed at the top of the thread. (AND and very nice 12 string LX). I think it rocks. The tone reminds me of a piano.

When i played it...it had a very nice loud voice.

It was actually a tad louder than the 1597. unplugged of course.

Quality wise...

I felt it was an equal comparison. I did find an outlet selling these..but they are out of stock.

Ok...I inquired a tad more on this ...here was their response

According to our Ovation rep. the Q597-4G has been fazed out - it was introduced but never produced.

It doesnt make sense...I played one...it was for sale.

Up until October, we had a Q598 and a Q597. Pictures are in my gallery.

Dan adopted the Q598-4G and has been performing with it since October. It was not his first Adamas 12-string. I'll ask him to post his thoughts and comparison.

At the same time, I also offered up for sale my Q597-CB.
I haven't been very aggressive at selling it... but Lady Noah says we have too many guitars... but you don't see that many Q597's around... but when hanging next to my Millennium, I'd rather keep the Millennium... but blue is my favorite color... can I come up with justification to keep both?
Yes!... an objective study... scientific evidence that they sound different :)
Maybe the sonic affects of the "swish" sound holes and lack of epaulets glued on the top...

Nah... Let's just settle on a good old hands-on subjective comparison fueled by food and drink.
Brother Fred loves his Millennium. I'll bring the Q597 and food... Fred, tell me when you have time.
