The local Houston PBS station is doing fundraising again. They often have some very nice music programming when they do. Tonight:

Houston PBS Latenight Schedule for Sat. 3-17

I'm not sure if other PBS stations around the country do the same sort of thing but thought I would give a heads up. Check your local listings.

My PBS affiliate (OPB) is doing the spare-change thing, so they might have that. They show the Grateful Dead every time they bum money. They are doing Doo-Wop music now. Duke of Earl to be precise.
All of us Portland Weirdos can only hope!

I saw that Blind Faith concert in Hyde Park, during the last fund raiser. Clapton looks totally out of it, and Winwood carries the band. It must have been filmed during Clapton's heavy drug use.

That's the first time I had seen this film. What a fascinating piece of historical footage. In 1969 I was only 11 years old, and these guys still looked like kids, well except for Ginger Baker who probably looked like that when he was born. Winwood's voice was shot, but overall the audio of the film was pretty good. I hadn't listened to any Blind Faith in a long time so I really enjoyed it.
