Feel your pain, Pauly. The Celtics, Reds and Fins are the Big Three that hold me in perpetual denial.

LOL Cliff! No sports genes at my house.

Culture Shock:
Amongst the Xmas presents and post holiday sale items were "St. Elsewhere", "Doogy Hauser, MD" and "Titus" seasons on disc. The last couple of weekends were spent watching all without comercial interuptions!

It's amazing how many epsisodes or portions can be missed. Also - St. Elsewhere/80's hair? what were we thinking?

I used to love "Titus". It's a shame some shows go off the air.

My two favorite old shows to watch uninterrupted are "Crime Story" and "Homicide".

We also got the full series of "Firefly" which is excellent. It's the one show that the whole family was able to watch without critcism.

I forgot my point. When you get used to watching without the commercials and then you watch "normal TV" it is almost painful.

In addition to Crime Story, I always liked Wiseguy. With Ken Wahl.

I'm a big, big fan of "Firefly". That show could have and should have gone on for many years.

As far as commericals.... I got a DVR from my cable service. When we do watch "live" TV, we just put it on "pause", go about our business for 15 minutes, then start it back up and zip past the commercials. We call it "puttin' time in the bank".

Getting back to the SuperBowl
(NEVER thought I'd EVER be saying that!!! . . .),

Whenever I get invited to SuperBowl parties, I'm usually oblivious to the (yawn)"game" and make it a point to catch all of the cool commercials in-between . . .

Typically the commercials are better than the game (with very few exceptions).

I'm not a fan of the superbowl either, now for the next two weeks were going to be subjected to all that hoopla.

God, when will it (the superbowl and its hoopla) ever end. The horror, the horror ...
