Best bang for the buck if you're looking for material imho. None of the commercial stuff appeals to me, although i like looking at the pretty pictures.

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ | I usually hang out at the local Barns and Noble, get a Starbucks, and read most of them. Kinda being a cheap skate though, but hey, all the other kids do it. If anything, the ads are the most interesting. Once in awhile, you get a good interview.
What I notice is that, each magazine takes turns in featuring, Hendrix, Page, Clapton or someone in that realm, on the cover, with some new tidbit of information. It's usually done to get your attention. Most of it's rehash. |

Like I said, the pages are are only there for back up! When a crisis arrives it doesn't matter, although I may grab from the Banjo/Dulcimer or percussion pages first.
I keep a stack of the Stewmacs because they run the different How To articles. |

Sweetwater:It'll give you lots of ideas on performance and recording gear.
First Quality Music:Occassionally has some good deals and lots of banjo stuff.
Elderly Instruments:Nice general catalog
Elderly Instrument Vintage guitar catalog: Just to see the prices on things I can't afford. (Though they did have an ephiphone G-400 for $265 that might be interesting ...)
