In a former thread Temp made the suggestion to use Planet Wave's Quick-Release to attach a strap to #47's strap ring. I tried it and it seems to be a perfect answer to the problem.

Thanks Paul for the hint!

Karl seems to have the only left handed 47RI.

For those like me that play seated without a strap, do you have any problem with the door knocker vibrating? I did, so I took mine off. Found a nice gold screw of the same threading that I put in there just to plug the hole. I can always put the knocker back on if necessary.

Seems so, but it's not a lefty #47 - the pics are taken via a mirror.

I bought the planet waves thingy but the laces are way too long and it's kind of fugly. Even though I play mostly sitting down, I like to have the strap on so I just tied the strap to the neck under the strings.

My solution was to simply use one of those little velco lead ties and loop it through the strap hole in the lead then through the ring.

Works great.

That's a good idea!
The guitar weighs next to nothing, so a goodly length of Velcro doubled-over onto itself should hold it no problem. I'll have to try that. Thanks!!
