Ok Dave. you are obviously coming down from your new guitar high!

First of all, Jesus was a Carpenter's son and although he was most likey put to work in the business, there is no reference that it was his actual trade. Back in those days all of the male jews were raised and taught the handed down traditions and verbal "bible". If they got to a point where they couldn't recite what was expected they were released to work the family trade full time. Usually about the age of 13, or "manhood" Stage One.

At the age of 12 Jesus was found in the Temple of Jerusalem teaching. I guess he got to keep pursuing his real day job.

Also, the Maji left gifts of gold and fankinsense (bling) along with myhrr which is a burial herb. The family had to do a lot of fleeing and bribing to escape the local sherrif. My guess is they were not poor, just transitory.

No data on when Joseph died or how. Looking at their connections the family probably didn't work the home improvement biz.

I know they yelled, jumped and danced in his ministry. I don't know when they let guitarists in the band though. If I was still a Lutheran I'd be waiting for the organist to die before there was an opening.

One thing's for sure: Jesus would play rock n' roll.
There's nothin' wrong with it as long as your foot's on the Rock and your name's on the Roll.

there's also another reference for rock music that i discovered in the Bible: Jesus told the pharisees that if they tried to prevent the people from praising Him, even the rocks would cry out. now that would be rock music!

King David skillfully played a string instrument unto the Lord. No doubt an ancient lute or lyre. He also danced unto the Lord. I've been to some Messianic celebrations. The music was very unique, very original, quite a celebration. Perhaps 1st century Palestine was similar in style.

Do you think Jesus played with himself?

Or with the band?

...Back to the photo and the question of which police department it is ... I agree with Lanaki, I grew up in the LA area, and it is common practice to pull people over and slam their faces to the ground. But I guess that's what happens when you have so many freaks running around the streets shooting at each other.

Make a Joyful noise unto the Lord. [Ps 66.1 & Ps 100.1]

Jesus would play the crappy guitar that he borrowed from the starving street musician...
But when he handed it back to the dude, it would be an Adamas.
After that, whenever the dude played, he would wow the crowd...
And people would invite him to crash at their house, and share the wealth.
The dude would play Praise music, and testify to the Miracle.

Someone make a Christian Rock video outta that!

Perhaps the young lady was part of a Citizen's Clean up Group and that's a can of solvent.

Flat Black solvent...

I asked webstrings about the photo. Wayne Preis responded in the affirmative. Said his wife was responsible for all that work and more...
He also gave me this info:
