It might work well for the obsessive OFC member who is well versed in what the written description of the options translate to in real life but for someone who has not done their homework, the site is not as functional as it could be.
IMO, the site would generate more sales if pictures of the options would be readily available. Show the 5 piece neck.... show the 2 piece walnut neck... show examples of what the different inlay look like... for goodness sake, show an example of the top color options. That's why they call it eye candy.
Take a look at the McPherson site. ( McPherson guitars )
You can click in at least a dozen combinations of wood options and you are shown exactly what that guitar will look like even though they might not have ever made that guitar before.
I don't know much about McPherson guitars but I enjoyed playing around on their website for 20 minutes. |

Location: Marlton, NJ | The utmost would be if you could actually see the finished product as you make the changes. I recall seeing a couple of the car sites that can do this.
