Today's New York Times has a feature story titled "Guitar Heroines". The story features pictures of my daughter Kaki as well as an interview with her. Here's a link to the Arts section of the paper:

I was quite pleased to see that the paper is featuring one of her music videos in which she plays her custom Adamas II 1581 prototype. This is the same guitar that she played on the Letterman show.

The two photos in the story were taken last fall at a series of shows she played in New York City. She is shown playing her nylon string acoustic-electric Takamine EAN60C:

Philmax and his daughter Elizabeth had a chance to see Kaki perform with this guitar at a show in Atlanta in September.

Needless to say, I am very proud of her professional recognition by the New York Times.

Kindest regards to everybody--

Thanks, Dave. I always read the Kaki stories with interest. There's a lot for you to be proud of.

I agree with Kaki on two points
1)that the guitar is "feminine." 'Cause I feel like it's woman.
2)Most of the best songs are written and played by people who are not technically brilliant. Gives me hope.
