Hello gentlemen, (I know don't be insulting), I have been hanging out for awhile, but just not posting because I'm a computer doofus, and lost my sign in data. (Just found out how easy it is to get it back). Since I've read alot of your posts I feel you guys know your O's. So I have a sales question for ya; since I want to buy a high dollar rest-of-my-life guitar. Here's my idea. I have an 1982 Blueburst Collector, and an 1985 Sunburst Collector I want to make a two-fer deal on. Two fer one price is what I mean exactly. I'm thinking both for $1150. Whaddya think, is that crazy, one way or another? I can take a little noobie bashing if I haveta! Thanks! HH

Figure out how to post pictures. It took me most of an evening to post one, so I'm not the one to tell you how.

Well, as you can probably presume, I collect stuff, hehe. But, as I just bought a new Guild D-55 today, and I own two Gibsons, and an Ibanez,(and the aformentioned O's), I've always wanted a sweet sounding Martin________(insert model here). So I want to stash the cash, save up some more besides, and when I stumble on 'THE ONE', I'll be able to leap. No more than high two K range if necessary. I'm really not a spoiled pig, but I want just one more that touches my gut when I play. I will say the 1985 Collector got me thru a tough divorce, but the ex bought it for me before she got caught.....well guess the rest. Both my O's are almost perfect, but I don't play any gigs or anything where I would need to plug in. Any help? thanks MWoody!

I might be interested in the 85, if it's a six to go with my 12, but I just sold an 82 and don't need another... I have visitation rights. send me a pm or e-mail to glennahesssr@msn.com if you're interested.

Thanks,

Glenn

Yep, it's a six. I didn't know there was a twelve. Any thoughts on the idea? I was thinking it was a good way to make the break a little faster and less painful. If it doesn't work, I may email some pics to ya.

Try ebay with a reserve you can live with and you'll find the current market value. Personally i think you're a bit on the optimistic side; but not buy much, but then again, who knows?

Thanks for the input gh1. That's the stuff I need to hear. Ya can't hurt my feelings, what do you think price wise? I gave up hope of ever getting money back out of my guitars a long time ago.

I HATE it when someone says "Do A Search". (Never on this forum though!) So I'll tell ya how to post pics before ya even ask. :D I've got the following text clipping sitting on my desktop as this question crops up every couple of weeks.

Q) How do I post pictures in a thread?

A) The image needs to be hosted somewhere on the internet. Your OFC photo gallery qualifies.
1. Right click on the image you wish to post, choose 'copy image location'.
2. In the position in your post where you wish to place the image, type . (If using 'Full Reply Form" you can position the cursor and click on the "Image" button, then paste the image location in the box. This will insert the )

To get the location of an image in your gallery,
1. Go to your gallery.
2. Click on the thumbnail of the picture you want to post.
3. Right-click on the large version, choose "Copy Image Location".

Q) How do I upload pictures to my Photo Gallery?

A) 1. Click on "Member Access" on the left side of your screen (if you don't see "member access", you need to click on the "Ovation Fan Club" link at the bottom of your screen, or type http://www.ovationfanclub.com in your browser).
2. Click on "Photo Gallery".
3. Click on "Gallery Utility".
4. Click on "Upload Photo".
5. Fill in the fields.
6. Pick the photo you want to upload (When you click "browse" you are looking at the files on YOUR computer).
7. Click "Upload".
NOTE: File size is limited to 100k. Larger images will be rejected. Maximum pixel width is 500. Images wider than 500 pixels and smaller than 100k in size will be resized.

Ham, the D55 Guild is a great guitar. That's the dreadnaught size body with all the fancy stuff on it? You know who Guild built the first one for back in 1968?
